Biography

Serafina Gennaro is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Gaetano Gennaro and Anna Sciacchitano.

She marries at least twice, first to Francesco Paternostro, son of the late Giuseppe Paternostro and the living Caterina Tinnirello, on 9 January 1803.^[1]

Serafina and Francesco have at least two children: Giuseppe (c. 1805) and Vincenza (c. 1814).

I estimate Giuseppe, who is named after his paternal grandfather, is born within a couple years of his parents' marriage.

I estimate Vincenza is born around 1814, twenty years before she marries.

Serafina remarries to Antonino Urso, son of Francesco Urso and the late Giovanna di Miceli, on 15 October 1825. Her father has died by this time.^[2]

Vincenza marries Bernardo Pomara on 1 August 1834.^[3]

Giuseppe marries Arcangela di Leo on 22 February 1835.^[4]

Serafina has died by 1854, when Antonino remarries.^[5]
