Elizabeth Geta was the first wife of Alois Steinbock. According to her memorial stone she was the daughter of Andrea and Anne Mariae Geta.[1] Alois came to America before Elizabeth, she arrived with their children, Barbara, Heinrich, and Peter (blind in left eye), on 5 January 1906.[2] Elizabeth had three children with her at Ellis Island: Barbara, Henry and Peter. Peter was shown on the records as having multiple health issues, and was detained. The family tradition was that he died in Russia. If this is correct, then he was sent back to Russia on his own, because his mother and two siblings traveled to Kansas to reunite with Alois. Alois was working for the railroad, and was in Wamego, Kansas. Elizabeth gave birth to triples on 3 November 1906, and died twelve days later.[1] The triples were baptized on 5 November 1906, St. Bernards Church, Wamego, Kansas. Aloysius wasn't able to care for his new born babies, so he wanted them to be adopted by Catholic families. Susanna was adopted by George and Barbara Prockish. Susanna died on 28 February 1907.
