Biography
Samuel Getgood was born on November 19, 1855 in Lisburn, County Antrim, Ireland and passed away on February 9th in 1935 at 42 McLean Blvd. East York, Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada. At age 79, 2 months & 21 days.
His Parents recorded in his death certificate are Samuel Getgood & Elizabeth McConnell, both born in County Antrim, Ulster, Ireland.
Samuel was married to Mary Jane Patterson in Ireland and she is recognized as the mother of his son, John Getgood Sr., who had immigrated to Canada in 1910. John is also found in the 1911 Census as a Lodger with James Getgood, presumably his younger brother, in the household of Robert Campbell in Toronto.

- James Getgood, b: Feb 1883 in Ulster, Ireland

Samuel's death certificate states that he was only in Canada 7 weeks, before his death and was also widowed at that time.
