William married Mary Penberthy (1833 - 1874) on 29 May 1859 in Ludgvan. [1]

William died in Mar 1873 in Gulval, Cornwall, England aged ~40.

William Gilbert was baptised at Gulval on 13 May 1832 with his parents named as Robert (a miner) and Maria Gilbert of Carnequidden.[2]

William Gilbert married Mary Penberthy at Ludgvan on 29 May 1859 with his age recorded as 27 and father's name as Robert Gilbert. Mary was 26 and her father was recorded as Isaac.[3] The marriage was after Banns and they were both single living in Ludgvan and men named were all miners.[4]
