James was born at Adisham, Kent in 1818 to parents Thomas & Anne Gilham. He was baptised on 8 February 1818 at Adisham, Holy Innocents, Kent[1]
James married Frances Goodban on 6 May 1849 in Ickham, Kent.[2]
In 1851 James was 33 years old and living at Wickhambreux, Kent with his wife Frances (24) and son James (1). He was working as a farmers waggoner.[3]
In 1871 James was 53 years old and living at Bishopsbourne, Kent with his wife Frances (48) and children (James 21, Frances 14, Sarah 10). He was working as a farm bailiff.[4]
James died aged 56 in 1874 and was buried on 8 June 1874 in Adisham, Kent.[5]
