Susan was the daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Dees) Gill, Kentucky, and the sister of William, Elizabeth, John, James, Thomas, Perry, Harry, and Sally. Her father was a farmer in Laurel County, Kentucky. Susan married Henderson Eversole on April 14, 1892. Their children were Emma, General, Elva, Dillard, Lillie, Abraham, and Sarah.
In 1900, Henderson and Susan were farming in Jackson County. By 1910, the family had moved to Laurel County. 1920 found them back in Jackson County. In 1930, their widowed daughter, Sarah, and granddaughter, Elsie Abram, were living with them. In 1940, they were still in Jackson County, next door to the farm owned by their son, General. Only Elsie was living with them. Susan died in 1947, and she is buried in Rogers Cemetery, Jackson County, Kentucky.
