C. LUTHER GLADFELTER

C. Luther Gladfelter, Brodbeck R.D. 1, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock, following a lingering illness which had confined him to bed for the past week. He was aged 61 years. Besides his wife, Laura Kessler Gladfelter, he leaves four children; John A. Gladfelter, Baltimore; Curtis E. Gladfelter, Brodbeck R.D. 1, Daniel E. Gladfelter and Jennie R. Gladfelter, at home; four grandchildren, and a brother, Horace F. Gladfelter, Glen Rock R.D. 1. The deceased, who lived his entire life in that section, was a charter member of the Brodbeck Band. He was also a member of the Lutheran congregation of Shaffer's Church. The funeral will be held on Friday with short services at the late home at 1:30 p.m. (EST). Concluding services will be held at Shaffer's Church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, Lutheran pastor of the church, will officiate. Friends may call at the home from Thursday noon until the time of the funeral. Funeral Directors G. W. Geiple and Son of Glen Rock, have charge of arrangements.
