Biography

Sarah was born in Fleckney, Leicestershire in 1699 to Jonathan and Anne Glover. She was the third of four children. She married John Stevens on 5th July 1731 in Kilby, leicestershire. They had 5 children all born in Kilby – one of them (also a Sarah) may have died in infancy. She died in 1743 at Kilby age 44. Sarah was buried in Kilby on 25 July 1743. Fleckney is around 2 miles from Kilby. The Glover family can be seen for a further 2 generations back living in Fleckney.
