Biography
Alice Gorton was born in about 1806 in at sea in the Dominican Republic. [1]
When Alice was about 23 she married Thomas Lucas on 5 October 1829 in Caton, Lancashire, England. [2] The couple had at least 4 children.
In 1841 Alice was living in Lancaster, Lancashire. [3]
Her husband died later that year.
In 1851 she was living in Caton with 2 sons. [4]
In 1861 she was a servant of George Riley in Higher Booths, Lancashire. [5]
In 1871 Alice was living in Kirkdale, Lancashire with her son Thomas and his family. [1]
