Biography

Lydia Gotobed was born in about 1834 in Histon, Cambridgeshire. She was the daughter of William Gotobed and Sarah Leach.

In 1856 she married John Gawthrop in Histon^[1] and they had 8 children: Fred (b.1856, d.1914), Charles Alfred (b.1857, d.1937), Maria (b.1859, d.1897), George (b.1861, d.1941), Richard (b.1863, d.1932), Sarah Jane (b.1866, d.1949), Emma (b.1868, d.1929) and Hannah (b.1870, d.1929).

Lydia died aged 71 in 1906 in Chesterton, Cambridgeshire,^[2] and was buried in Histon.
