Biography

Jemima or Jamima was born on 13 Oct 1815 to parents William Gowans and Catharine Grieg ^[1][2].

She married Gourlay Steell in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland on 8 Apr 1840^[3].

She gave birth to a son, Gourlay, on 9 July 1841^[4] and died soon after on 26 Jul 1841^[5] presumably from complications from childbirth.
