On Aug. 23, 1849, Sarah married Alexander Nelson Grant in Caledon Twp., Peel County by Rev. Duncan McMillan. They were both of Albion Twp., Peel County. The witnesses were James Squier and John Quin. [2]
Alex N. was born in 1822 and of Alliston, Simcoe Co.
They had nine children between 1850 and 1871.
On Apr. 14, 1854, Margaret was born in Essa Twp., Simcoe Co.
On June 8, 1871, Minnie was born in Essa Twp., Simcoe County to Sarah Ann Squire and A.N. Grant. Sarah’s father was a miller. The registrar was R.L. Banting. [3]
On July 28, 1877, Alexander Grant, a miller, of Tecumseth, Simcoe Co, died. Will in probate court Dec. 8, 1877. [4]
On Feb. 12, 1897, Sarah died in Alliston, Simcoe County. She was buried in Alliston Union Cemetery. [5]
