Biography
Robert Starling, son of William and Christiana (née Risbury) Gray, was born on 20 March 1809 and baptised at All Saints, Bodham one week later.[1]
He married Celia Bircham at All Saints on 25 April 1831.[2]
Research Notes
William Gray married Mary Risborough at Bodham in 1903. A daughter Elizabeth was baptised in 1804 with the mother Mary Risbury, but then Sarah in 1806 and Robert in 1809 were baptised with the mother Christiana Risbury. This was the case for the next three children.[3]
Mary Christiana, daughter of John and Ann Riseborough, was born at Sheringham in 1781.[4]
A John Riseborough married Ann Languard (the Banns record more clearly shows Langwood) at Sheringham in 1773,[5], however James, son of John and his wife, late Ann Bowles, was baptised at Sheringham in 1784. No explanation for this has been developed.
