Sarah was born on 30 July 1856 at 9 King Street, Dublin. She is the daughter of George Gregory, a musician, and Elizabeth Jennings. She was baptised in St Michan's church on 18 August 1856.[1]
Sarah married James Ellis (a cabinet maker) on 2nd April 1877 at St Mary's Church of Ireland, Mary St, Dublin. [2][3]
In 1901, Sarah was living in Denmark St with her husband and six children: Thomas, James, Mary, Sarah, John and Samuel. [4]
By 1911 the family had moved to 69 Fairview Strand, Clontarf West, and Sarah and James are living there with their four sons (all of whom are working as cabinet makers) and two daughters. The census record indicates that three other children of James and Sarah had died (George, William and Mary Elizabeth). [5]
It is not known where or when Sarah died.
