Daughter of Pierre Garnier and Marie-Anne Matte.

Marriage

Joseph Amelle (sic) remarried on 5 Feb 1753 in Lotbinière with Marie Anne Grinier (sic), daughter of Pierre (deceased) and Marie Anne Matte^[1]

Note: There are numerous marriages between men named Joseph or Jean Hamel and women named Grenier in this period and region, sorting them out thus becomes difficult. So children of this marriage are not all certain. There is one clearly identifiable, a daughter Marie Anne born in 1756, married to Charles Jobin in 1774.^[2]

Death

Marie Anne Grenier, widow of Joseph Hamel, died on 23 Mar 1817 and was buried on the 24th in Sainte-Croix de Lotbinière,^[3], being listed as 89 years old on the record.
