Biography

Albert Victor Grindley was born 15 February 1891 in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. He enlisted in the New Zealand Army 15 January 1918. Service No. WWI 87724. He was 5ft 6in., 196lb, with Grey eyes and dark brown hair. Before enlistment, he was a Commercial Traveller.[1]

He married Agnes Crichton Tait on 23 December 1914, in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand.[2] She died in 1938.[3]

They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter.

After Agnes died in 1938, he married Christina Anderson in 1938, in New Zealand.[13] She died in 1953.[14]

He married his third wife Ora Williams in 1955, in New Zealand.[15]

He died on 3 October 1968, in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, at the age of 77,[16] and was buried 4 October 1968, in the Andersons Bay Cemetery, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, Block 139. Plot 114.[17] [18]
