Biography
James E. Grohusky, Sr. 80, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away June 17th. Jim died surrounded by his family at St. Joseph Medical Center. He had worked at the Wyandotte County Kansas City Kansas Health Department for more than 30 years and retired as Director of Environmental Health.
Jim was preceded in death by his son Frank. He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary H. Thompson Grohusky; sons, James E. Grohusky Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas, and Greg Grohusky of Lake Waukomis, Missouri; daughter, Judy Dawson, of Hays, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday morning, June 21st, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorials were suggested to the church.
