A hospital spokesman said she died from massive chest injuries. She was injured Friday in a service bay at Laird Noller Ford Inc., when a pickup rolled backward and pinned her against her parents' car, police said.
She was living in Topeka at 2400 Candletree, and attended kindergarten at Wanamaker Elementary School. She was a member of Pete's Gang, at La Petite Academy.
Survivors included her parents, Frank and Sherry (Haney) Grohusky, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James E. Haney, Kansas City, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. James E. Grohusky, Kansas City, Kan., and great-grandmother Mrs. Helen Thompson, Kansas City, Kan
April was born in 1976. She was the daughter of Francis Grohusky and Sherry Haney. She passed away in 1982.
