James Groth was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

James Groth was born in 1862 in Gundagai, Colony of New South Wales, son of Charles Groth (1827–1906) and Sophia Barbeler (1839–1920).

James (23) married Sarah Alice Abbott (17) (born in 1868 in England) on March 2, 1886 in Queensland, Australia. Their children were:

James died on September 7, 1948 in Queensland, Australia, aged 85. He was buried in Pomona Cemetery, Pomona, Noosa Shire, Queensland.[1] [2]
