Obituary

The former Frances Grothe was born in Sheboygan July 20, 1898, daughter of William and Theresa Lindemeyer Grothe. On Nov. 20, 1920, she married Walter Steffen in Sheboygan. Mr. Steffen died Nov. 27, 1978.

Mrs. Steffen was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert, and a daughter, Mrs. William (Janice) Oostdyk, both of Sheboygan; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 pm at Nickel-Lippert Funeral Home. The Rev. James Hess, co-pastor of Holy Name Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm and Monday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Steffen's name.^[1][2]
