Burleigh # 648 - "Enlisted at the age of 14 in the 45th PA regiment. After the war, he was employed on the Albany and Susquehanna R.R. and was accidentally killed in 1877 by falling from his train. He was married and left two children." >His obituary said wife and one child.
The HANCOCK HERALD, Mar. 17, 1877 - "Killed by the Cars - James H. Guile - A most shocking accident occurred about two miles below Callicoon on Thursday of last week, in which James Guile, a flagman on a wildcat train, met instant death. While passing over the train from the caboose to the engine, he fell between the cars and was run over. ...His remains were brought to Lordville by undertaker Edwards for interment, having been a former resident of that place and where his parents still reside. He was aged 30 years and leaves a wife and one child. His home was at Narrowsburg." Lordville and Equinunk are on opposite sides of the Delaware River.
