New York War of 1812 Payroll Abstracts for NYS Militia show that William was a Private under Captain Samuel Bant in 1814.
Find-A-Grave website notes William's parents are Daniel Guile 1758-1810 and Mary Hewitt Guile 1763-1848. His spouse is Christina Youker Guile 1800-1876.
