David Guillemette est né le 21 juillet 1834, fils de Godfroid Guillemette et de Marie-Anne Blais. Il a été baptisé le lendemain à Berthier-en-Bas, Bas-Canada, paroisse Notre-Dame-de-L'Assomption.[1]
