Marie Julie Guimont was born and baptized on 17 Aug 1834 in Saint-Frédéric parish in Drummondville, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Charles Guimont and Céleste Vincent. Sponsors for Julie's baptism were Etienne Bougest dit L'Esperance and Julie Vincent, her maternal grandmother; Charles Guimont signed the register.
At age 20 Julie married Jean Baptiste Richer dit Laflèche on 5 Oct 1854 in Saint-Hippolyte de Wotton parish in Richmond, Canada East. The couple received a dispensation for two banns of marriage. There were 11 known children born into this marriage.
Julie Guimond died at age 73 on 2 Jan 1907 in Saint-Georges de Windsor, Richmond, Québec, Canada. She was buried two days later on 4 Jan in Saint-Georges de Windsor parish cemetery; her sons Napoleon and George were present.
