married Nellie Alberta Miller (1900-1972)
R. B. (Shorty) Gunther DIGHTON-R. B. (Shorty) Gunther, 71, died Monday at the Lane County Hospital, Dighton, alter a short illniess.
Born July 9, 1901, in Phillips County, he married Nettie Miller Sept. 28, 1921, at Ness City. She preceded him in death in November, 1972.
He was a retired farmer and had lived here since 1920.
Survivors include eight daughters, Mrs. Nila Zink and Mrs. Betty Shull, both Healy, Mrs. Bertie Honstead, Sterling, Colo., Mrs. Dorothy Phillips, Goodland, Mis. Alice Smith, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Charlotte Davidson, MePherson, Mrs. Muriel Lawrence and Mrs. Joyce Sbull, both Dighton; two sons, Ross, Healy, and Rex, Dighton; five brothers, H. I., Dighton, Lynn, Nadpose, Calif., Kayo, Inglewood, Calif., Dale and Merle, both Huntington Park, Calif.; 33 grandchildren and ll great-grandchildren.
Funeral Thursday Church, Dighton, the Rev. Joe Tempfer officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name at the First National Bank at Dighton. Niles-Zenor Funeral Home, Dighton.
