Biography
Maria was probably born in 1746 in Bohemia. [1] She married Mathias Hofmann in 1773.[2] She passed away in 1781 in Salluschen, Bohemia.[3]
Research Note
The birth records for Dorf Tuschkau were searched from 1740, just after her parents were married, to 1760, when she would have been 13 years old when married, had she been born then. No Maria Anna Haalas were found, although numerous siblings were found. However, there were two Anna Maria Haalas found, one of which was born one day later than family records indicated, so this is very likely she, although her given name was Anna Maria, not Maria Anna. Her marriage record clearly states Maria Anna and her death record states Maria, so there remains some question regarding her birth record.
