Biography

Lucy was born in 1741 per the Christ Church Parish Register of Middlesex, Virginia. She was the daughter of William Hackney. She was married in Middlesex to Richard Davis by bond dated 17 September 1761. She was named as his wife in her father's will dated 4 June 1776.

Robert Davis and his wife Lucy were named in a chancery suit brought in Middlesex County in 1793. A second suit makes it clear she and Richard Davis had both passed away before 1799.
