Alice Haddock was born late in 1847/early in 1848 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, the daughter of William Haddock and Charlotte Cheetham.^[1]

Census 1861 living at 19 Mount Street, Manchester. Occupation silk piecer. Census 1871 living at 1 Silver Street, Hulme Chorlton. Occupation Cotton factory.

She married Ezra James Spencer on 19 April 1880 at St Stephen's church, Hulme, Manchester.^[2]
