Biography

Theresia Haenelt was born on 20 Feb 1857, perhaps in or near Ludomy, Oborniki, Wielkopolskie, Poland. Her parents were Lorenz and Anna Rosina (Weiss) Hänelt.

She married Stanislaus Duszyński in 1874 at what is now Ludomy, Oborniki, Wielkopolskie, Poland.[1]

They immigrated to the USA on 27 Apr 1882 at New York on the ship Helvetia, with their son age 4, and 2 young daughters ages 2 and 0. Her parents and sister Maria were also with them, as was Jozef Duszyński age 24, perhaps the brother of Stanislaw. (Jozef later married Maria in 1883.)[2]

They had a farm in Shields, Marquette, Wisconsin.

Their son died at age 16 in 1893 in Marquette Co., Wisconsin.

In the 1900 census Theresa (age 43) was with her husband and 2 unmarried daughters in Shields, Marquette, Wisconsin, United States.[3]

Thressa was mentioned on a memorial in Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Montello, Marquette County, Wisconsin, United States with a death date of 22 Mar 1932.[4]
