Biography
Klaska "Clara" Wynstra SALEM, Ind. – Klaska "Clara" Wynstra, 81, formerly of Capron, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at her son's home in Salem, Ind.
She was born April 30, 1923, in Haulerwijk, Netherlands, to Halbe and Marie (Bos) Hageman. She married Roelof Wynstra on March 9, 1944 in Donkerbroek, Netherlands.
She was a retired supervisor of Admiral Corp. in Harvard. She was a member of Capron Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Harvard Moose Lodge and House of Power Outreach Ministry in Pekin, Ind.
Survivors include six children, Yan (TJ) Wynstra of Salem, Halbe (Donna) Wynstra of Capron, Marie (Gerald) Joyce of South Beloit, Albertje (Maurice) Hagen of Belvidere, Sandra "Sam" (George) Gaskins of Harvard and Sherri (Ed) Garside of Elkhorn, Wis.; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters, Klasina (Sietze), Isabelle (Sake), Grietje (Jan), Alberdina (Luuc), Jacob (Aaltje) and Gerda (Jan), all of the Netherlands.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Aug. 9, 2000; five brothers; three sisters; and two children, Roelof and Albertje.
The visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral Friday, Jan. 14 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. The Rev. Jim Hill, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere.
