Note: JOYCE HALPIN GAIANI May 13, 1937 - Oct. 4, 2006 Joyce Halpin Gaiani, 69, of Palm City, FL, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend died peacefully on October 4, 2006 after a long illness and was surrounded by family and close friends. Joyce was born on May 13, 1937 in Orange, NJ to Marie Flanagan Halpin and Thomas Halpin. Joyce grew up in Newark, NJ, resided in Bloomfield NJ from 1960-1979 and has lived in Martin County, FL since 1979. Joyce is survived by her husband Eli V. Gaiani, DDS; daughter: Marybeth Schambach; sons: Donald A. Schambach, Jr. and Stephen P. Schambach; grandchildren: Patrick, Molly, Megan, Annelise and Chara; four brothers: Thomas F. Halpin, Lawrence W. Halpin, Peter J. Halpin, and Michael J. Halpin: and sister: Margaret H. Boyle. She was predeceased by her parents and another sister, Ann H. Rock. She is also survived by stepchildren: Lewis A. Gaiani, Anthony E. Gaiani, Mary Beth Lewandowski and step grandchildren: Margeaux, Eli, Elizabeth, Anthony, Steven and Joanmarie and the late Michael Lewandowski along with many other dear friends and family members. She was employed in the securities-brokerage industry in Martin County for 15 years prior to retiring. Joyce enjoyed spending time with family, reading, sewing, and traveling. She will be remembered for the sparkle in her eyes, wonderful sense of humor, and all of the wisdom and knowledge she shared. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, FL on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 10.00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Treasure Coast Hospice, Inc., 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, 34997, in the name of Joyce Halpin Gaiani.
