SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Peter A. Hamel, 68, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016.
Peter was born April 12, 1948 in Morrisville, Vermont to the late Roland and Louise (Walker) Hamel. Survivors of Peter include his son, Cory (April) Hamel of South Bend; grandchildren, Owen, Colin and Eden Hamel; and lifelong friend, Roxanne.
Peter proudly served in the United States Army as a Radio Operator on the front lines during the Vietnam War. He loved his grandchildren, they were everything to him. Peter will be greatly missed.
Friends and family can pay their respects on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 5 - 7 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.
