OBITUARY: Mary Maxine Stout, 89, of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
Maxine was born on April 21, 1932 in Davidson, Oklahoma, to the late Howard and Dora Bell (Roberts) Hamm. She married Roy Stout on July 25, 1950, and they raised their four children in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was a registered nurse and retired from North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, Texas. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls, and painting. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and taught Bible class at the church in Davidson, Oklahoma for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Doreen Villarreal.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky Muenchow of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Micki Qualls and husband, Phil, of Abilene, Texas; two sons, Kent Stout and wife, Renee, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Tim Stout and wife, Tonda, of Springdale, Arkansas; three sisters, Vivian Thompson and husband, Gene, of Ada, Oklahoma; Peggine Peters of Norman, Oklahoma; Gwen Dickson and husband, Dub, of Norman, Oklahoma; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
At her request, a graveside celebration of life will be on Friday, September 17 at 11 am at the Davidson, Oklahoma cemetery.
