Biography

Edmund Hampden was born in Buckinghamshire, England.

Edmund was baptised at Hartwell, Buckinghamshire on 5 Dec 1555. ^[1]

On 5 Sep 1596 he married Margaret (Ball) Hampden. Their marriage took place at the church of St Bartholomew the Less in London. ^[2]

His will was dated 30 Nov 1605 and he made bequests to his four daughters Ann, Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth. ^[3] Edmund described himself as gentleman of Wendover, Buckinghamshire. He also made his brother, Sir Alexander Hampden a trustee of his daughter's estates. His will was probated on 31 Jan 1605/06.
