Biography
Widow Malin Hansdotter is in the household of her brother Anders in Östbjörka in the 1670s-16806. She has two children whose patronymics indicate that their father was named Erik. Malin's birth year in the record is given as 1620. She died in 1687.[1] Malin Hansdotter in Österbjörkan was buried 30 January 1687.[2]
Research note
Her "missing" husband could be Erik Knutsson, who had a daughter Margeta in Östbjörka in the first half of 1654.[3] This will be the child who was buried in December 1654.[4] Eric's death record seen but not entered in WikiTree (where was it?) may have been the record for his wife; there does not seem to be one for himself. It could be a recording mistake. His name hasn't been seen in the taxation records, either, so he will have been in somebody else's household. This needs to be checked.
We must also consider Eric Johansson who had a daughter Anna christened on St John Baptist 1655.[5] However, since the daughter Kierstin, born in 1657, was the daughter of Erik Knutsson, we trust that. But then Erik Knutsson's wife supposedly died in December 1659.[6] A re-marriage not found. Beginning to suspect that it was actually Erik Knutson himself who died in 1659 and not his wife.
Erik Johansson's widow Kerstin lived in Östbjörka Nr 13 and died in 1680.
