Biography

Neils Peter Hansen was born on February 20, 1875 in Lyngå parish, Sabro, Århus, Denmark, the son of Peter (Nielsen) Hansenn and Ane Mette Jensen.[1][2]

Niels immigrated to the United States.

Niels married Christiane Amalie Madsen on August 9, 1899 in Manti, Sanpete County, Utah.[3][4][5] They had at least three children.

  1. Pearl Christiana (Hansen) Overby was born on October 10, 1902 in Redmond, Sevier County, Utah.[6]
  2. Arva Vandora Hansen was born on December 10, 1904 in Redmond.[7]
  3. Edgar Hansen was born on March 27, 1909 in Redmond; died on May 17, 1909 in Redmond.[8]

Neils married Frederikke Christensen in about 1913. They had at least two children.

  1. Elven Niels Hansen was born on May 25, 1915 in Redmond.[9]
  2. Henry Hansen was born on August 25, 1917.[10][11]

Niels married Alfretta Dastrup in about 1927.

Niels passed away at an age of sixty-two on October 22, 1936 in Salina, Sevier County, Utah. He is buried in the Redmon Cemetery.[12][13]
