Biography

Åke was born about 1655. In the Jordebok for Väghult no. 35 in 1685, his age is noted as 30.^[1] He died in 1710 or 1711, since he is named in the Mantalslängd of 1710 and his widow Bengta is named in the Mantalslängd of 1711.^[1] He probably died in Väghult, Jämshög, Blekinge.

Research Notes

• Denmark ceded Blekinge to Sweden under the terms of the Treaty of Roskilde in February or March 1658.^[2]
• In Åke's time, Väghult, the farm where he lived, was spelled Weijhult.
