Photo kindly shared by Edward Yardley, biographer of Henry's grandson, the marine painter and poster artist Frank Henry (Algernon) Mason. Frank Mason spent much of his early life living with his grandparents, who kept a lighthouse in Seaton Carew.
Photo kindly shared by Edward Yardley, biographer of the marine painter Frank Henry (Algernon) Mason, Henry's grandson and brother of Eleanor Marie ("Nelly"). Like the rest of the family, Henry worked in the maritime industry, firstly as a Master Mariner and, at the time this photo was taken, as a lighthouse keeper.
