William Harris married Isabel Barker on 22 November 1888 at the Res of Mr Barker Tickera, South Australia. Fathers Thomas Barker and Michael Harris. [2]
He passed away in 1934 and was buried at the Kadina Cemetery. [3]

OBITUARY - The late Mr William Harris, who died at his residence, Russell street, Kadina South, on Monday, December 5, was a well-known and much esteemed Peninsula personality, and was born in Moonta in 1865. With his parents, the late Mr and Mrs Michael Harris, he moved to Ballarat, but the family ultimately returned to Kadina, and Mr Michael Harris took up land in the Hundred of Tickera in 1877, At the age of 24 he married Miss Isabel Barker, eldest daughter; of the late Mr and Mrs Thomas Barker, also of Tickera, and carried on farming for a number of years. As a keen follower of cricket he was a foundation member of the Brucefield club and was subsequently made a life member. He was actively connected with the Tickera Methodist church, and was highly esteemed:. As one of the initial members of the Tickera Oddfellows Lodge (later held at Alford) fce rendered splendid service over a period of 50 years. He leaves a widow and eight children: Mrs J. Roberts, Adelaide; Miss Elsie Harris, Kadina ; Mrs A. Willis, Adelaide; Messrs William, James, Edward and Harold, Kadina; and Ernest, Blyth. There are sixteen grandchildren.
