Biography

Fred Mangnall was born on 28 September 1908 in Westhoughton, Lancashire, England. He was the son of Abel Mangnall and Ellen Bromilow.[1][2]

When Fred Mangnall was 5 months he married Ellen Bromilow on 21 March 1908 in Westhoughton, Lancashire. [2] [3]

When Fred Mangnall was 22 he married Mary Amelia Klemm on 11 October 1930 in Springfield, Sangamon, Illinois, United States.[4]

Fred Mangnall died at the age of 83 on 8 August 1992 in Springfield, Sangamon, Illinois. [4]

He was buried after 8 August 1992 in Tayorville, Illinois.[5]

Research Notes

Another theory has been discovered.

After Ellen remarried Mr Harrision, Fed adopted the surname of his step Dad to become known as Fed Mangnall Harrison. He then moved to the USA with his parents: 1

Fred died 8 August 1992 in Springfield, Illinois.

Mary Amelia Klemm was born 23 August 1912 in Auburn, Sangamon, illinois, and she died 6 June 1997 in Kincaid, Christian, Illinois, USA.

Fred was legally adopted by Mr Harrison, or else took the same surname.

According to the Webster site there are/were five living children of Fred and Amelia Harrison.

? is about 10 miles south-west of Springfield, IL, and Kincaid is about 10 miles south-east.

My father, [Fred Mangnall Harrison], his mother [Ellen Mangnall nee Bromilow], brother and sister came to the USA in Dec 1919 on a ship named Bohemia. On its return voyage the ship sank off the shores of Nova Scotia. They first went to Ohio and then To Indiana and finally settled in Illinois. John Harrison died in 1934 and my grandmother Harrison died in 1942. My father died in 1992 and my mother iin 1997.
