Research Notes
Birth is estimated from birth of daughter in 1690.
In the will dated 1718 Andrew mentions only his wife Eleanor and his 4 children viz. Andrew Jr, William, Elizabeth, and Margaret Long, her husband was Gabriel Long, and their 3 youngest sons Gabriel, Richard and William.
If Andrew had all of the other children listed on Andrew Harrison Sr. (1648-1718). If so, wouldn't he have mentioned grandchildren? And his wife Eleanor was still living.
The other profile for Andrew has a birth 30 Dec 1648 in London, with no citation to prove this, therefore it should be replaced with possibly England.
There is a second wife attached - Elizabeth Palmer again with no citation, this should be removed for the time being and put as a possible in the research notes.
Then we come on to the other 5 children viz. John Harrison was born in Yorkshire with no source, Thomas, Robert, Anne, Lovell Harrison, all with no source, again I would suggest removing and placing them in research notes.
I am quite willing to help sort out the other Andrew Harrison profile if the profile managers are in agreement.
Possible father of Andrew Harrison:
A Richard Harrison patented lands in 1664 in New Kent County on the Mattaponi River and a branch of Dragon Swamp; one of whose headrights was a son, Andrew. Very little else is known about Richard. Records were few in those days and not many survived the years. (Source - A House of Harrison by Catherine May Bell Harrison Murphy, published 1913, page 14)
