Elizabeth Jane Harvey was baptised ca 1832 possibly at Gwennap, Cornwall, England - no source found. She was the daughter of Philip Harvey[1].

She married John Spargo Verran (bef.1831-1892) in 1854 Gwennap, Cornwall, England . Banns of marriage were declared on 2nd, 9th, 16th July 1854 [2][1]
Elizabeth and John came to South Australia aboard the Burlington in 1857 with their three children - Johannah, Alice and John (twins). John was a miner and they first went to Kapunda before moving to Moonta where seven more children were born. One of these, John, entered politics and became premier of South Australia[3].

Elizabeth died 1877 in South Australia[4] and was buried with her husband at Moonta Cemetery. Their headstone was made of Kapunda marble[3].
