Biography
Cora Myrtle Hawks was born on April 7, 1904, in Fries, Virginia, the daughter of Robert Hawks and Nannie Trail. [1] She married Marvin Funk on June 24, 1923 in Alleghany, North Carolina. [2] By 1940, her family had moved to Providence and she had three children. [3]
She died on August 11, 1983, in Galax, Virginia, at the age of 79, and was buried in Fancy Gap, Virginia at the Independence Cemetery. [4]
