From "The Hawley Record", page 483:
Note 79,— SELIMA HAWLEY {AMES\ Na 1635, daughter of Amos Hawley, Esq., was born in Moreau, Saratoga Co., N. Y., in 1792, and married in 1818, Moody Ames, son of Jonathan. He was a blacksmith, a member of the firm of Carpenter & Ames, extensive manufacturers of wagons. After some years he removed to Eden, Erie County, N. Y., became a farmer and also carried on hi s trade. They both died at that place.
