Jeanne was born December 27, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri to Hugh James Hayes and Ardath Shepard Hayes. When Jeanne was about 3 years of age, Mr. Hayes was transferred to Belen, NM where Jeanne spent most of her school years. She was honored to be in the National Honor Society. Jeanne sang in the high school chorus, girl's sextette group, loved the music competitions in Santa Fe and was a drum majorette. She loved high school and was sad to graduate. She attended Colorado State College of Education for one year. This was war time and the dormitory was taken over for the service men. Jeanne and her roommate were moved to a private home. After a year, she went back to Belen where she was trained in bookkeeping at the local bank.

Jeanne then headed for Los Angeles, CA where she was employed in various positions doing secretarial and accounting work. The last position was with Hughes Aircraft Company, working for Howard Hughes. She was also a volunteer at the Hollywood Guild Canteen.

Returning to Albuquerque, there she was employed at an Insurance Company before taking a job at Sandia National Labs. November 2, 1965, she married Charles R. Beeson, who was the father of 5 children. In 1967, they adopted an infant girl, Ann Ardath Beeson. Jeanne was a supportive wife and devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed traveling, reading, friendships and Bible studies.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles R. Beeson, M.D.; her parents and brother, James L. Hayes.
