Biography

Miss Marjorie Heinze, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Heinze of Shelbyville, became the bride of Leo Latchford of Shelbyville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Latchford of Shelbina, in a double ring ceremony, performed yesterday afternoon by the Rev. A. H. Sargent at the Presbyterian manse.

The bride was attired in a white suit with white accessories. Her corsage was of red carnations. The coulpe's only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glover of Shelbyville.

Mr. and Mrs. Latchford will be at home after June 15 in Shelbyville, where Mr. Latchford is affiliated with the Imperial Oil Company.

      • Marjorie Elaine Latchford, 80, Shelbyville, died Sunday, October 10, 2010, at her home in Shelbyvillle.

She was born December 17, 1929, in Shelby County, MO, the daughter of Martin and Florence Jarrell Heinze. She married Leo Latchford on June 10, 1948, in Macon. He died on May 22, 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Gibson and husband Bill, Shelbyville, and Neita Hunolt, Quincy, IL and friend Paul Sulser; four grandchildren, Chrisoff Gibson, Columbia, Lisa Mesmer and husband Chris, Columbia, Audrey Smith and husband Matt, Kahoka, and Travis Hunolt and wife, Elizabeth, Shelbyville; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband; and one brother, Delbert Heinze.

Mrs. Latchford was a Christian by faith and a graduate of Shelbyville High School. She enjoyed crocheting, counted cross stitch, sewing and reading. Her greatest love was for her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are today, Wednesday, October 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Dr. Albin Covington, officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Memorial Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Visitation was Tuesday evening.
