Biography
James Boyd Helm, son of William D. F. Helm and Margaret Helm, was born in 1863 in Tennessee. He appeared on the census of 12 Aug. 1870 in the home of his parents at District 5, Jefferson, Tennessee.[1] He was a blacksmith when he appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 in the home of his father and step-mother at District 5, Jefferson, Tennessee.[2]
He married Parrile Smith, daughter of Henry Willis Smith and Julia Ann (Sessom) Smith, in 1890 in Montague, Texas.[3]
He was a farmer when he and Parrile appeared on the census of 2 Jan. 1920 at Canadian, Pittsburg, Oklahoma.[4]
James died on 7 June 1928 at Canadian, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. His memorial has biographical material and links to those of family members.[5]
