Abraham was born in Wheatley by Doncaster, Yorkshire on 7 October 1836 & baptised Abraham Hemingway, 15 May 1837 Dewsbury, All Saints, Yorkshire the son of Abraham Hemingway (bar keeper)& Fanny of Wheatley near doncaster. [1]
With siblings & parents in 1851 living Common Side, Soothill, Yorkshire. He worked as a blanket weaver. [2]
The marriage of Abraham Hemingway & Sarah Jane Clegg was conducted on 26 December 1862 Dewsbury, All Saints, Yorkshire. [3]
A woollen & blanket weaver in 1871 & 1881 living in Stocks Fold, Earlsheaton, Soothill Yorkshire with wife Sarah & children. [4] [5]
Living in Chickenley Lane, Soothill, Yorkshire in 1901 with wife Sarah, daughter Lucy & son Arthur. He worked as a blanket weaver. [6]
A widower in 1911 living in Chickenley Lane, Soothill, Yorkshire with son Arthur. [7]
