Jens Rasmus Henriksen Leknes was baptized on 8 Apr 1810 in Hjørundfjord, the son of Henrik Henriksen and Johanne Jensdatter.[1]
Jens married Kanutte Pedersdatter Sæbø, daughter of Peder Knudsen, on 23 Jun 1839 in Hjørundfjord.[2] Their foster daughter was Johanne Henrikke Jakobsdatter (1851 - 1919) (his niece).
In the 1865 census, Jens R. Henriksen (age 56) was the married head of household at Læknæs in Hjørundfjord.[3] He was a farmer and lived with his wife Kanutte Pedersdatter, foster daughter Johanne Jacobsdatter, and two servants.
He died on 20 Jul 1890 in Hjørundfjord.[4]
