Henry Frederick Henske Jr was born 13 Apr 1886 in Kenney, Austin County, Texas, USA. He was a son of Charlotta "Lottie" Sander and Henry Henske Sr, both German immigrants. He had an older sister Anna Henske (1).

In 1900, Henry Henske (13) lived in Austin County, Texas with his parents Henry (41) and Lottie (41), older sister Anna (16), and younger sister Emma (8). They were white. Henry Sr and Lottie had been married 17 years; Lottie was the mother of 3 children all living. Henry Sr was born in Germany, had immigrated in 1878, had been living in the US for 21 years, and worked as a farmer.
